
CALL FOR VOLUNTEER HUMAN RIGHTS CORRESPONDENTS
Southern Africa Human Rights Lawyers (SAHRL) is seeking dedicated and passionate volunteers to serve as Human Rights Correspondents across the Southern African region. We invite individuals committed to upholding human rights to join our network and assist in monitoring and reporting on human rights issues.
Role of a Volunteer Human Rights Correspondent:
Monitor human rights developments within your local community or region.
Document and report credible human rights concerns, abuses, and violations.
Conduct basic research and gather information from diverse sources, including communities, local media, and reliable on-the-ground contacts.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to SAHRL's reporting database.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for individuals with:
A strong interest in and commitment to human rights.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
The ability to act with discretion, integrity, and objectivity.
Residency in or deep knowledge of a Southern African country.
Basic research and information-gathering skills.
